This Privacy Policy explains how Wecull ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
Accounts in Wecull are created and held by parents or guardians. When you create an account, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in a hashed, encrypted form and are never visible to us in plain text.
A parent may add one or more children to their profile. The only information collected about a child is what the parent chooses to provide — typically a first name or nickname used to label the child's feed. Children do not create their own accounts and cannot sign up, log in independently, or enter personal information themselves. A parent signs in on the child's device, and the child's profile is protected by a parent-set PIN. We do not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and managed using RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. We do not collect or store your full credit card number. We may receive limited transaction details — such as confirmation of purchase, subscription status, and a non-identifying app user ID — from these providers in order to grant and maintain your access to paid features.
Account data and any content you create in the App is stored securely on our cloud backend, provided by Supabase, so it can sync to your devices and be available when you sign in. Supabase provides our authentication, database, and storage infrastructure.
We may collect limited technical information needed to operate the service reliably and securely, such as device type, app version, and basic log data (including IP address) used for security, debugging, and fraud prevention.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics services. We do not collect more information from a child than is reasonably necessary for them to use the App.
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate the App. These may include:
These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy and security commitments. We encourage you to review their policies linked above.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or security obligations.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us at ashbuildsit@gmail.com, or by using the account-deletion option within the App. We will process your request within 30 days.
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and secure storage — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and promptly address any vulnerabilities.
Wecull is designed to be set up and controlled by parents and guardians for use by their children. We take children's privacy seriously and aim to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
